Since 1995, Doylestown Township has hosted the annual Sounds of Summer Performing Arts Series providing free family-friendly entertainment and sponsor exposure to thousands of residents and visitors annually, with more than 100 performers having performed. The “Thompson Performing Arts Series” has become a sought out destination. Additionally, the annual fireworks celebration has become a long-standing community favorite tradition.

Over the years, the performing arts series has featured professional and amateur talent of regional, national, and even international recognition. A wide variety of cultures and artistic styles have been presented as well, including different musical genres, theater, dance, magic, etc. The goal has always been to present Doylestown community residents and visitors with the best possible opportunity for cultural enrichment, arts appreciation and fun for our hard-working community.
