Pavilions

Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation offers several park pavilions that can be reserved. Fees vary depending on the length of the reservation, group size and residency.  Reservations may be made beginning January 1st for Doylestown Township residents and April 1st for non-residents. 

Note: Pavilion rentals accepted beginning January 1st for Residents.

Host your next picnic, party, league, or event in a Doylestown Township park! Choose from pavilions, picnic shelters, a picnic grove, athletic fields, and Community Recreation Center (CRC) spaces.

Pavilions & Picnic Areas

Rental season: May 1 – November 1
Reservations open: January 1 for Doylestown Township residents, and April 1 for non-residents

Fees vary by the length of the reservation, group size, and residency. See the Fee Schedule for current rates.

How to reserve:

  1. Call 215-348-9915 to check availability.
  2. Complete the Pavilion Rental Application.
  3. Submit your application and payment. Your reservation is confirmed once both are received.

Good to know:

  • Concert nights: pavilions are not available  during Township 
  • Special event dates: some pavilions may be unavailable the day before and the day of Township special events.
  • Evening time slots (4:30–8:30 PM) are available through August. Pavilions don’t have lighting, so evening rentals end in September.
  • Restrooms: public restrooms are located behind Pavilion 1 and across from the amphitheater in the Comfort Cottage, and are shared with other park visitors.

  • 8 picnic tables
  • Near the public restrooms, athletic fields, water fountain, tot lot, bocce courts, and trails

Pavilion 2

  • 9 picnic tables
  • BBQ grill
  • Near Kids Castle, the amphitheater, open green space, and trails

Picnic Shelters

Two shelters, for small groups of up to 12 people each

  • 2 picnic tables each
  • Near Kids Castle, a water fountain, and trails

Picnic Grove

Open-air picnic area for large groups of up to 50 people

  • 12 picnic tables
  • Near Kids Castle, open green space, the creek, the Environmental Education Area, and trails

Athletic Fields

All leagues, sports camps, and nonprofit groups must obtain a permit, pay the designated fees, and provide a certificate of insurance before using any Doylestown Township park.

Field rental seasons:

  • Spring: March 16 – May 31
  • Summer: June 1 – August 23
  • Fall: August 24 – November 15

Fields are closed from mid-November through March for preservation and maintenance.

Application deadlines:

  • Spring/Summer: February 1
  • Fall: July 1

Returning athletic organizations in good standing receive priority. All other organizations are considered based on remaining field availability.

Special Events

Large gatherings, tournaments, and organized activities can place unique demands on park resources, so they’re considered special events. To plan for safety and coordinate resources, special events require a Special Event Application and supporting materials at least 60 days before the proposed event. Depending on the event, this may include insurance, rental fees, and a security deposit.

We’re happy to work with you to coordinate facilities and resources. Events are not approved, and permits are not issued, until all materials are submitted and reviewed, and payment is received. Complete the Special Event Application.

Community Recreation Center (CRC) Rentals

Kids Castle Groups

Doylestown Township has discontinued Kids Castle Group Days and can no longer accommodate organized group visits of any size, including camps, schools, daycares, and nonprofits. This policy applies equally to all groups. Kids Castle remains open to individual families and the public during regular hours. Questions? Call 215-348-9915.
