Central Park Trails
Central Park has 4.77 miles of trails. They connect to the Doylestown Station and Morgan Hill developments along Rolling Hill Boulevard and New Britain Road, and to Turk Road and Bomaca Drive, across Easton Road north. From there, the trail loops back along South Easton Road to the Heritage Trail. Along Wells Road, Central Park’s trails connect to the Neshaminy Greenway, Destination Doylestown, the Lower State Road Trail, and the 202 Parkway Trail.
Destination Doylestown
One of the original segments of our trail system, this 1.44-mile route of on-road and trail sections starts at the Doylestown SEPTA train station. It travels through the Borough up Clinton Street to Court Street, then out Court Street to Memorial Drive. From Memorial Drive, follow the trail along State Street past Doylestown Hospital to the entrance of Delaware Valley University. From there, continue through campus to Lower State Road and into the Borough, or head out to the 202 Parkway.
Destination Peace Valley
This 1.47-mile trail connects Covered Bridge Park in New Britain Borough along the Pine Run Reservoir, then along Keeley Avenue and Iron Hill Road to Shady Retreat Road. Look for the information kiosk about the flora and fauna at Pine Run.
Heritage Trail
The Heritage Trail begins at New Britain Road and South Easton Road and runs alongside South Easton Road to Turk Road. It connects easily to Rolling Hill Boulevard and the back side of Central Park, and loops back along Turk Road to Sauerman Road. From there, head toward Bomaca Drive or South Easton Road.
Lower State Road Trail
This 1.26-mile trail runs between Memorial Drive and the 202 Parkway. It connects to the trail through Doylestown Hospital via Memorial Drive, and to the trail system at Delaware Valley University.
Neshaminy Greenway
The Neshaminy Greenway is part of the Circuit Trails, one of America’s largest trail networks, with a goal of more than 800 connected miles. The 1.42-mile Neshaminy Greenway section runs from the New Britain SEPTA train station along Almshouse Road, through Beulah Cemetery, across Upper State Road, through the Chalfont–New Britain Sewer Treatment Plant property, and along the Neshaminy Creek to the 202 Parkway Trail. From there, head east to Central Park or west toward Montgomeryville.
Shady Retreat Road
From the Doylestown Hospital trail, connect along Shady Retreat Road to Broad Street. At Broad Street, continue north to Sandy Ridge Road, or ride on-road south into Doylestown Borough. In the Borough, watch for Share the Road signs and sharrows.
202 Parkway Trail
The 10-mile 202 Parkway Trail begins at the Walt Berry Trailhead off New Britain Road and runs from Doylestown to the park-and-ride lot at Route 309 in Montgomery Township. Look for the kiosk and bike repair station at Lower State Road and the Parkway.
