This year’s project involved a unique coming together of three organizations – Doylestown Township, Bucks Beautiful and seemingly unlikely participant, Doylestown Disc Golf. During the summer of 2022, an idea was conceived to incorporate trees throughout the disc golf course in Central Park which would not only add trees to the park but also simultaneously create a natural challenge for the disc golf course. Members of the three above-mentioned organizations met and purposefully identified placement and best suited native trees for the area.

Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the nearly 50 volunteers who enthusiastically mulched, staked, and tied 24 beautiful native trees. Special thanks to Bucks Beautiful, tree sponsors, Boy/Cub Scout Troop 52 and students from CB East and Township staff who participated.

The 9-hole Disc Golf Course in Central Park was conceived as an Eagle Scout project and dedicated in 2021. Stop by and play a round or consider signing up for one of our Disc Golf clinics and give it “whirl.”
