Roads Program
Doylestown Township Roads Program
Every 5 years Doylestown Township renews its roads program. In 2018 an engineering study was done to document the condition of each road maintained by the township. This study is being used as the basis for when we renew each road focusing on those in the most need first. The Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors understands the importance of this project within the township and has continually budgeted for the demands observed in the 2018 study.
We Care about your Roads
We make every effort to renew the roads in Doylestown Township. We work every year to identify those roads needing paving. We take into consideration the amount of traffic on a road, the weather from the previous winter, and the results of our road surveys. We also take into account feedback we receive from our residents.
2024 Road Program
The Board of Supervisors adopted the 2024 Road Program on July 16th, and work is now underway. Bids were received on Tuesday, June 12th, with James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA, submitting the low bid. The total contract cost, including the base bid and all alternates, is $1,470,972.45. A tabulation of the bids received is attached. After receiving the bids, we learned that the North Wales Water Authority plans to construct a water main extension on Limekiln Road. As a result, the scope of the contract has been reduced to remove Limekiln Road from the base bid.
