Victim / Witness Assistance

Office of the District Attorney:  The Bucks County District Attorneys’ Office provides information on victim’s rights and services in the criminal justice system through their victim / witness coordinator.

Crime Victim Compensation

Crime Victim’s Compensations Board:  The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can provide assistance for out-of-pocket medical bills, lost wages / support, counseling, funeral expenses or cash loss of benefits as a result of a crime (if eligible).

Victim Notification

PA SAVIN: Pennsylvania State Victim Notification Service is a cooperative effort of the County of Bucks, the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. This is a statewide project that will allow victims and community members to register for notification of inmate releases/transfers from any Pennsylvania county jail that is participating. Elder Abuse

Bucks County Area Agency on Aging:

The AAA offers more than twenty programs covering a wide range of needs.  For those who qualify, these services may include in-home personal care and support services; caregiver support; transportation; home-delivered meals and adult day care.  Additional services include health insurance counseling, adult protective services, legal assistance, health promotion programs and ombudsman services.  Consumers may also call the AAA to inquire about eligibility for the PACE program (pharmaceutical assistance), as well as the Rent and Property Tax Rebate Program.
